The Fall Grant cycle is now open! Applications are due by September 30.

The Neighborhood Improvement Fund supports resident-led and community-based projects that create positive impacts in the Cudell and Edgewater neighborhoods. Whether you're planning a community event, neighborhood cleanup, beautification project, public art initiative, or another idea that benefits local residents, we encourage you to apply. The program is designed to support creative ideas that strengthen our neighborhoods and build community connections.

Need Help with Your Application?

We know that applying for funding can feel intimidating, so we're offering a series of Neighborhood Improvement Fund Office Hours. If you cannot make one of these times, individual sessions (both virtual or in-person) can be scheduled with Emily Bischoff (ebischoff@nwneighborhoods.org)

These informal drop-in sessions are designed to help applicants at any stage of the process. Whether you have a project idea you'd like to discuss, questions about eligibility, or need assistance completing your application, Northwest Neighborhoods staff will be available to help.

What to expect:

  • No presentation

  • No formal agenda

  • Stop in anytime during the session

  • One-on-one support and guidance

  • Help brainstorming project ideas

  • Answers to questions about eligibility, budgets, and applications

Projects can range from neighborhood cleanups and community events to beautification efforts and public art initiatives, among many other possibilities.

If you're considering applying, these office hours are a great opportunity to learn more about the program and strengthen your application before submission.

We look forward to hearing your ideas and helping bring them to life.
